A flowing yoga practice in the warm light of the RiverRoom

RiverRoom Yoga

Body and mind in harmony

The very idea of flowing water already holds a sense of calm within it. That is how the breath-guided Hatha Vinyasa practice feels: flowing, breath-led movements that become a moving meditation. The breath bridges body and mind, harmonising your energy and quieting the mind.

Classes & offerings

Two paths, one breath

A class begins with a yogic theme, pranayama, mantra or meditation, followed by warm-ups, sun salutations, asanas and a final relaxation.

  1. Group in a flowing vinyasa practice at the RiverRoom

    Hatha Vinyasa Yoga

A flowing, breath-guided practice rooted in the tradition of Sri T. Krishnamacharya – shaped by the lineages of Hatha Vinyasa Parampara, Mark Whitwell, Jivamukti and Ashtanga Yoga. The asanas are connected through breath focus (Vinyasa Krama) and Ujjayi breathing, turning the sequence into a moving meditation. The breath bridges body and mind.

  2. Inversion on the FeetUp stool by the window

    FeetUp Yoga

Using the FeetUp stool, inversions are gently woven into the flowing practice. Your perspective shifts from rational thinking towards feeling and intuition – a wonderful, supported way into inversions. Not suitable with glaucoma and/or high blood pressure.

About me

My path to yoga

I'm Katrin Kirsch, I live in Viechtach, I'm married and the mum of a son. Around 15 years ago I fell in love with yoga – at first as a counterbalance to the back pain I'd built up over years of working with horses as a riding instructor and trainer. From the very first Hatha Yoga class I felt the deep sense of well-being it brought – physically and mentally.

In May 2021 I broke both wrists in a riding accident. During my recovery yoga became my anchor – especially the Vinyasa practice without weight on the hands.

The breath bridges body and mind – a moving meditation that harmonises your energy and quiets the mind.
